Tips
Clean all furniture, appliances and clothing
Wipe bare metal surfaces with a cloth containing drops of machine oil
Do not store soaps or other aromatics
Do not store flammable, hazardous or toxic materials or aerosols
Keep fridge and freezer doors slightly ajar
Drain oil or gas from equipment
Do not store food, plants or other items that may attract insects or pests
Store mattresses and box springs standing up on their long edges
Mirrors and glass objects should be crated and stored on edge
Pack heavy objects (such as books) in smaller boxes
If boxes are completely filled, they are easier to stack, giving more floor space
Mark each box with a general note of its contents
Put aside keys, passports or any other important documents
Try not to use recycling or bin bags; they can be mistaken for rubbish
